An Efficient Implementation of Health Information System in Health Center

Abstract

|
|
The purpose of this study is to assess the factors influencing the success of health information system in health centers. This study procedures, therefore were composed of three stages. First we carried out literature review on the concept of health information system and the successful factors influencing the health information system in health centers. Second, as the organizational characteristics of health centers are different, we analyzed the current situations of health information system in health centers. Third, we shows several ideas for an efficient implementation of health information system in health center.
The results were summarized as follows ;
1. Currently, most of health centers have health information system yet. About 30% of health centers have introduced personal computers for health information system.
2. Health centers have not professional manpower for health information system. Development of manpower must be preceded the construction of health information system in health centers necessarily.
3. The poilcy authorities have to develope the efficient alternatives for health information system in health centers continually.
